THE REAL MAS - CARNIVAL

The Caribbean’s most original carnival - “The Real Mas” - features music, masquerade costumes, pageants, food and fun. Music ranges from Soca, to Steel bands to Calypso, which culminates in the grand finale of the carnival, the Calypso Monarch competition. A favorite of many is the Queen show, highlighting the talents and beauty of the women of Dominica. Look for all the colorful native dress, and the bright Sensay costumes of West African origin.
